The Badge of the order, in silver gilt, presents a white enamelled Maltese Cross with ball finials and a cluster of rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion with three stars on a blue enamelled field, reverse medallion presents silver gilt disc inscribed PER ASPERA AS ASTRA LATVIJAS REPUBLIKA 1918 G 18 VOEMBRIS, surmounted by a wreath suspension, hallmarked with a Latvian Head on the ring, wreath and
