SA12 Feb Gold Rush cover to Victoria Somewhere on the diggings" Notes Beer Duty set of 8(12 Feb) "gold rush" cover to Victoria bearing overhanging 2d pair (creased) and single (cut into) cancelled by diamond '23' of Salisbury with datestamp alongside, addressed to Melbourne and later endorsed 'Or Somewhere on the diggings', handstamp on reverse, some faults. A wonderful survivor of a time when entire cities were nearly emptied of people who all were off to the diggings to find gold. It must have been a postmans nightmare! Track Page
