Constructed of a padded grey blue wool, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered silver grey oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika and executed in dark grey, slate grey, and silver grey machine embroidery, the reverse retaining its original black rayon cloth backer, unmarked but demonstrating all of the hallmarks of a Type 1b four tone variant, measuring 70
