Pledge of Allegiance traditions Starring - Francoise Fabian"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." This photograph originated as an advertisement for a television documentary, but was then used in this poster highlighting racial inequity within the United States. The black man photographed has the American flag painted on his face, but the stripes also give the illusion that he is behind bars.
